Making A Purchase
By placing an order through our site, you warrant that: You are legally capable of entering into binding contracts; and You are at least 18 years of age.
The price displayed is for a single unit inclusive of VAT. If you wish to place a large order we would ask that you contact us directly as we may be able to offer special terms. A few of the products in our safety range are VAT exempt and are priced accordingly.
Carriage charges
(£7.00 plus VAT per order on all items except braces) are added at the checkout. Braces charged at £1.50 carriage per pair, using first class mail if only ordering 1 pair. Braces in multiples are required shiping on standard Fedex carriage. After you have finished your selection, click on ”checkout” and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy your order.
Payment
- We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Electron and debit cards.
- We use Sagepay to process your payment. Your card account will be debited immediately you place your order, if for any reason we are unable to dispatch your goods within five working days of receipt of your order we will contact you with an anticipated delivery date. We will refund your card if the date is unacceptable to you. Sagepay will ask you to provide any additional security required on their own site.

Credit Card Security
Because we use Sagepay we never see your credit card details. Visit Sagepay to read their security policy.
Shipping & Handling
This online catalogue is only available for deliveries to UK addresses. Mainland UK carriage is £7.00 plus VAT per order. We don’t ship to non mainland UK addresses, Northern Ireland and other UK Off-shore. Our standard delivery service is via FEDEX 24hr signed for. Orders must be placed before a 2pm cut off for eligibility for next day delivery. In adverse weather conditions we reserve the right to adjust delivery times accordingly.
Delivery Schedule
We will normally dispatch your order to you within 2 business days.
Delivery of Timber and sheet Materials
We can only off delivery to areas of Staffordshire shown on the map below. We cannot accept orders for a delivery outside this area and as such if you place an order for delivery outside the area it will be refunded.
Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Tax Charges
Prices quoted exclude VAT. VAT at the appropriate rate is added (where applicable) when you add items to the shopping cart.
Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with any of the services or products purchased online you have the right to cancel within seven days of your order, or seven days of receipt of your goods, and receive a full refund. In accordance with distance selling regulations.
Goods may be returned for credit providing they are returned to us in their original packaging and in a re-saleable condition. The customer is responsible for the safe return of goods at their own expense. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt. In the (unlikely) event of faulty goods we will reimburse any reasonable carriage charges incurred. This does not affect your statutory rights.

A J Philpott and Sons Ltd agrees to respond promptly to all complaints in a fair and equitable manner.
A J Philpott and Sons Ltd and the customer shall use their best efforts to negotiate in good faith and settle amicably any dispute that may arise out of the supply of our products or in the interpretation of these conditions.
If the parties cannot settle any such dispute within 21 days it shall be referred to an independent third party jointly nominated by the parties.
If the parties shall fail to nominate a third party within a further 7 days then the third party may be nominated at the request of either party. The consumer is not compelled to take part in these proceedings.
The third party shall act as an expert and not as an arbitrator whose decision (including as to costs) shall be final and binding on us both.
We pride ourselves on being able to resolve disputes fairly and mutually beneficially to all parties.
